Hello. I’m Dr. Ben Casey Quiroz. I’ve been employing doctors of chiropractic for over 10 years. I began my career under the tutelage of Dr. Paul Grindstaff in McAllen, Texas in 2004. I currently reside in West Texas with my wife and three sons. During the course of the last 12 years, I have worked at six chiropractic clinics. I currently own four chiropractic clinics – two in Texas and two in New Mexico. Three of these clinics I opened from the ground up. Through Parliament Staffing I hope to share with you the process which I’ve developed during my career for placing and securing competent doctors of chiropractic.
Assisting me in staffing and training matters as consultants, are Dr. Paul Grindstaff, DC, who also holds a master’s degree in business administration from SMU, and Linda Quiroz, with an M.A. from UTPB, who currently is an educational consultant with many years of teaching and training experience. In addition, I consult daily with the chiropractors at each of my clinics, as well as, various staff members ranging from IT to Front Desk to Billing & Collections and so on.
I’ve dealt with issues ranging from ordering cleaning supplies, to fixing broken equipment, to fighting legal battles and hundreds of other situations. But, the most pressing issue with which I must constantly deal is staffing, or putting the right persons in the right seats of the bus. Having the right person at the helm will resolve many issues that arise in the work area.
As a young doctor looking for job opportunities and a positive work environment, I experienced the anxiety related to signing a contract to perform duties in a situation that did not match my personality or career goals. As an employer with multiple locations I now know the frustration of not being able to find a doctor who will run my clinics enthusiastically and effectively and will help me increase revenue with his or her expertise. Rest assured, I have hired many an individual who was not ‘a good fit’ for my business model. The precious training time invested in these individuals goes out the window each time they leave or have to be replaced.
Because I can empathize with both the prospective candidate and the clinic in need of competent staff, I decided to enlist the help of chiropractors, like myself, and training experts to create a process which would empower candidates and employers alike.
